Transfield Worley has the largest industrial engineering team in New Zealand. Our wide ranging expertise includes process equipment and facilities, food-grade hygiene requirements, offshore structural design, pipelines, tank farms, power generation, power/gas/water reticulation, wastewater, mechanical handling, seismic engineering, environmental engineering, and hazard assessment.
Technology
At Transfield Worley we make sure we keep pace with international best practice through continuous investment in technology and training. We use the most sophisticated engineering simulation software available - including finite-element analysis, structural load analysis, dynamic process simulation, pipeline modelling, pipe stress analysis, and power system analysis - as well as patented database technologies for instrumentation engineering.
Design Tools
Our design capabilities are second to none. We make extensive use of 3D design for easy visualisation and comparison of concepts, and animation to visualise complicated construction sequences. These tools allow our designers and construction personnel to work together to optimise designs, thereby reducing fabrication, assembly and installation costs.
Automated bills of materials feed directly from 3D models into our procurement system, with geographical information systems being used for asset and facilities management.
