Transfield Worley's highly-skilled engineering team has expertise in all the engineering disciplines. Our clients benefit from a complete engineering and design service that utilises state-of-the-art software tools and applies appropriate codes and design practices. Our engineering teams are also involved with site investigations, as-building, and field commissioning.
Transfield Worley has the largest industrial engineering team in New Zealand. The team covers all conventional engineering disciplines and includes specialist skills in areas such as technical safety and risk, design verification, advanced process control, corrosion and metallurgy, power analysis, utility systems analysis, and plant integrity and reliability.
A key component of our success is our focus on working closely with the customers operations, maintenance, and construction personnel from the outset to form powerful integrated teams. Effective communication and site visits ensure that practical constraints are identified and understood; resulting in a well-thought-out work scope and helping us deliver on our promises.
Our wide ranging expertise includes process equipment and facilities, food-grade hygiene requirements, offshore structural design, pipelines, tank farms, power generation, power/gas/water reticulation, wastewater, mechanical handling, seismic engineering, environmental engineering, and hazard assessment.
At Transfield Worley we make sure we keep pace with international best practice through continuous investment in technology and training. We use the most sophisticated engineering simulation software available - including finite-element analysis, structural load analysis, dynamic process simulation, pipeline modelling, pipe stress analysis, and power system analysis - as well as patented database technologies for instrumentation engineering.
Our design capabilities are second to none. We make extensive use of 3D design for easy visualisation and comparison of concepts, and animation to visualise complicated construction sequences. These tools allow our designers and construction personnel to work together to optimise designs, thereby reducing fabrication, assembly and installation costs.
Automated bills of materials feed directly from 3D models into our procurement system, with geographical information systems being used for asset and facilities management.
